Connect4Climate, a climate change initiative launched in 2011 by the World Bank, the Global Environment Facility, and the Italian Ministry of the Environment. Connect4Climate’s goal is to create a participatory, open knowledge platform that engages youth in a global climate change conversation to drive local action. Connect4Climate has joined forces with the New Cities Foundation, a nonprofit whose mission is to shape a better urban future for all. Every year we organize a conference called the New Cities Summit, which takes place in a different city, and is the leading event on the future of the urban world.
This year, from June 9-11, Connect4Climate and New Cities Foundation are thrilled to be bringing the Summit to Jakarta. As part of the Summit, a Jakarta-focused competition were launched to seek innovative local project proposals and solutions to the city's mobility and traffic-related problems. 18-35 year olds throughout Indonesia, including university students and entrepreneurs are the target of this competition.
